Danji, founded by Chef Hooni Kim, is the first Korean restaurant to receive a Michelin star. The Korean word 'danji' means earthen pot used in fermenting kimchi. I used hand-drawn lines to evoke the craft involved in the culinary process and transformed it into the shape of the pot, which created a modern and stylish feel.
The signage I developed for Danji reflects the rustic chic and modern neon that is prevalent in bars and eateries in Seoul, Korea. The signage is encased in wire cage with the English name on one side and Korean on the other.
