‘Banchan’ is the Korean word for the side dishes that accompany regular family meals in Korea. The challenge was to introduce this somewhat unknown piece of Korean culinary culture with a friendly but polished brand image that could set it apart from other similar eateries.
The pouch packaging was designed to be resealable and double as signage and describe the food and usage, as well as easy to print and apply. Also, the Korean phonetic name would also feature on the labels as Korean food was being more popularized in social media.
